I approach every wedding I shoot with two things in mind; first, I want the bride, groom, and I, to feel connected – like old friends, really. Feeling comfortable around each other is extremely important to get the best candid shots, and trust me – those candid shots are important. Second? I want to tell stories. Weddings are such beautiful occasions on their own, but they are actually each an individual love story. I feel so lucky that I get to bring those stories to life through what I do, because every aspect of life has a story to tell in some fashion.
There are many things I’m ‘not good at.’ But I think we could all say that, right? Luckily, I was able to discover a knack for photography, which happened to fit in perfectly with my love for beautiful, artistic things, and even more beautiful stories. Being able to shoot weddings, and experience captivating moments, again and again, has really brought a lot to my life. I feel so lucky to be able to do what I do everyday, and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else.
